Parkour-urban extreme sport

Parkour is a sport activity with the purpose of moving from one place to another as efficiently and quickly as possible, using only the physical skills of the human body. It is used to overcome obstacles, which can be any obstacle in the environment on fences and stone, to pillars, walls and bars and can be practiced both in urban areas and rural areas.
Founded by David Belle in France, parkour focuses on efficient movements to develop the training of the body and mind, to be prepared to overcome obstacles in an emergency. Can also be a form of entertainment or a way to spend your free time. This sport isparkour also called l’art du deplacement / the art of movement / art movement or even free-running. The term “parkour” is derived from the French “parcours go combattant” in translation meaning “to overcome an obstacle” .
Free running is the term used by Sebastien Foucan in Jump London documentary to refer to parkour, term which later came to describe a sport based on acrobatics, different from the original discipline Le Parkour.
Practitioners of this discipline are called tracers .The sport is practiced mainly in urban areas, involving jumps in, on, through and around obstacles such as railings, stairs, pillars, , trees, buildings, etc.. They consider this kind of training a way of liberation from the constraints imposed by other sports and one standard for overcoming the induced limitations .
Parkour is classified as “wow!” an extreme sports. Practicing this discipline does not require wearing special equipment, sites developed, prepared before or other obstacles. Parkour is very simple, fluid movement from one place to another, to which are added run speed, climbing, jumping, spectacular and efficient movement, imagination, improvisation and other complex techniques. If sport “parkour” performed by you does not include items listed above, then you are doing fitness.

What is a booster?

Booster means controlled descent on the secured  rope along vertical walls of rock. To practice this sport  theboosterparticipant must first control his  fear and then his moves.
The practitioner controls his own   descent, decides when to stop, when to pursue and how to get over the obstacles . Booster site is an extreme sport in all right, even if many are not of this opinion. Unlike climbing  as it is called, in this sport  it is important how you descent rather than ascent.
Good to know before starting booster: Learn how to use the booster and climbing equipment before use  a real booster. It is not a good time to learn how to use the  equipment during the descent.  Booster is a dangerous activity that can lead to serious wounds. It is recommended to have a proper training and appropriate equipment before attempting this activity. Negligence, lack of training and not  knowing the theoretical issues can lead to very serious accidents.
The descent is made with some   devices and production equipment (rope, down, harness, karabiner, gloves, helmet) so you could learn more  about climbing equipment. Wall height for booster can vary between 3 and 100 meters. Descent can be practiced: on rocks, on bridges, cascading water, the buildings, in caves. As beautiful it is booster as dangerous , entering  in the category of most dangerous  climbing activities that depend totally on the rope. Therefore, there is a set of rules to be followed to eliminate all risks:
-The most important rule is to prepare the  booster. Preparation of the  booster requires experience, patience and conscientiousness. It is recommended to provide sufficient time for preparation of the booster. Another very important step before the booster is fixing the rope. The easiest point of attachment of the rope is a tree or less often, a piece of rock.
-Before starting the  rappel  should be checked if the heads of the rope  come to a regrouping  platform t and if the clipping  screw where is the  braking device was closed. Speed should be moderate for not to “burn” your hands by rubbing the rope. The neck should be protected from reaching the rope.
-During booster legs hold on to prevent the  lateral twisting around the body axis. Easily leave the body on the back, and the legs  leans on the wall. The rope passes through both hands, one hand is to lead the rope to maintain balance (which maintains the wires coming from python booster), the other hand – from the valley is designed brake (which maintains the wires free from the valley).
-The entire weight of the body is taken by rubbing the rope, in hand doesn’t  feel  no effort. Do not brake with the hand that is on the rope because the effort is high, and  it is a common mistake made by beginners .
-During the booster you should avoid twisting ropes, wires must be maintained at all times parallel so the  recovery to be done easily.

Snow kiting-the kite and the snow board

Kite skiing can say it was invented in the United States in the mid `80, when using a kind of parachute to go with skis on the frozen lakes and in fields. Thus, they were developed little workshops sites where kite skis were built. Snow kiting name was invented in European countries by the practitioners of this sport. Some kite boarders also tried practice kite surf on water, getting a much higher rate than would be obtained from wind surf used without a kite. It was also tried to use the kite board on the grass fields, by using boards with wheels.
Snow kiting can be practice on the mountain, frozen lake or even on the plains of green grass. On snow_kitingskis or board and propelled by a kite with wind power. Snow kiting site is a winter sport that combines the power of wind and kite surf techniques, and the equipment for snowboarding. Snow kiting can be made both with a snowboard board , but also with the skis . Some practitioners even use for snow kiting the equipment for kite surfing. Snow kiting differs from other alpine sports by the fact that you have the opportunity to move in what direction you want, even on the hill. It became a popular sport where winter sports are practiced in France, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Sweden and the western United States.
For starting to use a kite you have to respect certain rules to avoid accidents. Therefore:
1. Never use a real kite before fully control a training kite . At first it is better to use the instructions of a trainer or an experienced practitioner . Using a real kite at the beginning may have as consequences very serious accidents.
2. launch the kite only in that open spaces without close obstacles c like: walls, cables, poles, trees, populated areas, large differences in the level ,airports.
3. The first kite that you will be trained has to be a training kite with 2 control strings . They are smaller kites (1, 2 or 3 mp.) and more resistant. It doesn’t deserves to start with a real kite because it costs more expensive and could break more easily . The training is designed to do so and only after you have used this training kite you can choose for a real one .
4. In snow kiting it doesn’t matter how well you know handle the skis or board if you do not know how to handle a kite.
5. Like you have to know how to handle a kite you must have knowledge about wind. The first notion to be known is the “wind window”. Wind window is the area where the kite can fly. Its size is determined by the length of the string of the kite.
After you are initiated in all these aspects you can go for a safe snow kiting.

With the kayak on the snow

snowkayakWhy it is an extreme sport? Because you do not have brakes and you cannot stop just down the valley and straight direction can hardly be changed. To maintain the direction you can brake gently with your hands or paddle on the side (left or right after the event), but that will not slow down too much. You can try both options when descending: with and without a paddle. Big differences are, but when you use the paddle you risk to fall on it and break it , as many practitioners experimented . Another reason for why it is considering an extreme sport is because of the speed. When you get to hops you feel like you are flying and you can only stop down in the valley. But the goal was speed and jumps as high as. You don’t need too many technical skills to get out of kayaking on the snow, like you need to ski or snowboarding. You just need the spirit of adventure and speed. In a kayak you are safer as in a sledge and freer as in a sleigh on ice , but what results, from practicing snow kayaking is high speed and fun. Surprisingly, the kayak can pass off a lot of holes or knolls that normally would cause a very sudden stop and very unpleasant, but almost all such obstacles were turned into large and small jumps.
For additional security, it is recommended to wear the equipment: helmet, ski goggles, gloves, etc.. especially for “fireworks” with kayaking air and especially for landings. For a less extreme descent you can choose a gentle slope where the kayak doesn’t accelerates so strong. There is not recommended in any way, to descent on the tracks special arranged as is too fast and you can easily lose control being a danger for you , but mostly for other people. The right position in a kayak is leaned forward. This position prevents the possible shocks on the spine.
It is important to choose your stopping place, freely without obstacles, preferably in a valley or on a counter-slope. To practice snow kayaking in all its splendor it is recommend to do it on fluffy snow or after it freshly snowed and avoid ice!

The kite, the man and the board

Kite BoardingA kite and a surfboard. The kite draw the board card , having between them the man who, with his hands drive the kite at the end of ropes, and with his feet drive the board. Briefly, this is kite boarding, .
But lets see how Kite boarding appeared …
The Chinese can be considered the inventors of kite boarding. Since the 12th century, they used kites to propel their canoes on rivers. Then, in the 19th century, George Pocock used very large kites for relieving karts on land and boats on the water, using a control system with 4 lines. Both types of vehicles, go-karts and boats could be run very well, powered by the wind. The intention of using kites as a propulsion, was to create an alternative to hauling horses, in part to escape the tax for horse, which was collected in that time.
In 1901, aviation pioneer Samuel Franklin Cody passed over the English Channel with a boat towed by a kite. In the `70, companies Kevlar and Spectra have developed a series of controllable kites. In 1978, Ian Day has reached with a kite , a speed of 40 km / h. In 80 years, however, there were sporadic attempts to combine kites with canoes, skates, skis or roller.
Peter Lynn of New Zealand, built in 1990, the first kite boarding, as a cart pulled by a kite. Since then, the kite pulled relieving karts have become popular worldwide, having sold themselves until 1999, over 14 000 kite boards.
In parallel with kite boarding invented in New Zealand, in United States has been developed and kite surf. Specialists from Boeing’s kite ski have patented a system of water skis, pulled by a kite anchored with 2 lines and controlled by a control bar. Kite ski’s began to market since 1994. In the late `90’s kite ski evolved so that was replaced by a single board, similar to the surf. Thus, kite boards evolved, taking different forms in the water – kite surf ,in the snow – snow kite or sand – wind sand board, from tractors, to those with skis or a single board.
Simplicity of the sport makes it increasingly more interesting. Your body is the only connection between kite and board and you must control them both at the same time: to fly the sky kite and drive the board. Modern kites using convex edges that the kite have a shape of “crescent moon” . Due to the aggressive form , the kite is always `pushed up` even on water. The person who is practicing this sport needs to be very skilled when launching the kite .The kite have a collar that allows you to `let go in as much rope as` the dragon to lose power and fall to the ground or water.

Another adrenaline sport-paragliding

PowerParaGliderAt first sight , paragliding is like a flight with a parachute, which can keep the air and can fly wherever you want, without you being released in advance of a flight. For, to paragliding, you do not need to be launched from somewhere above, but you can propel yourself by running. And then paragliding is maintained in flight, due to air currents and the skills of the one who practice this sport and who is handling the device. So, paragliding rather resembles with a glider. Taking off, can be made by running or towing. Para glider is not designed to jump from the plane, but have been cases when paragliding jumped from the helicopter, balloon and sometimes from very high mountain peaks.
With the paragliding in flight, you can climb to great heights (even reached the 9,000 meters this year, but by mistake), but it takes a long slick from the pilot to find and follow warm currents. To find warm currents, you need to know chapter called meteorology.
Para glider or the wing, is so made that it can inflate itself, made up of a cell – cell open and closed back in front, arranged side by side, in rows. Moves through the air keeps them inflated with air, as air enters through the opening in front, but not out, the back is closed. Thus, the wing gets an aerodynamic shape, which help raise the form of a Para glider , like an airplane’s wings.
First, if you want to knuckle down to this wonderful hobby that is paragliding, you should know that you need a license to fly. You cannot buy a Para glider and be ready to go fly with it. You will receive a license to fly only after you’ve completed a training flight with an authorized instructor. Flight instructor teaches you techniques, and theoretical notions about aerodynamics and even meteorology. In the course you will find out all you need to know for every possible situation that you meet it in practice and as far as possible, and apply to a range of knowledge acquired during flight course. At the end of the course take an exam and get license to fly. Only after you came into possession of a license to fly, you can start to fly as you wish.
The pilot is supported underneath by a strong network of ropes, caught by a particular pilot’s harness. Simultaneously, there is another network of ropes, which controls the wing of the Para glider. Harness, besides the role of grip and support, has a protective bag, a sort of air-bag or bag with foam, caught behind the pilot.
Ordinary Para gliders usually have a range between 25-35 square meters, with an opening of 8-12 meters and a weight of 3.7 kg. The weight of aggregate tip, collar, reserves , tools and helmet, get up to 12-18 kg.

Flying with the hang glider

Flying with the hang glider is an extreme sport that can be viewed from the perspective of a competition buthang_glider for most it is a method of relaxation. The hang glider is a very easy aircraft (the Greek letter delta form) that can hover in the dynamic thermal gradient current or float in ascending current. The pilot hangs suspended under veils device, connected to a harness and control the direction by changing body position (center of gravity changes). The first experiences of flying took place in the 19th century and were made by athletes such as Otto Lilienthal.
The hang glider flight was invented, or more specifically influenced by Francis Rogallo a NASA technician in 1948 by construction of Flex kite. This device was intended to be a way for astronauts to descend to earth. Since then, the idea began to develop in Australia, and over the continent appeared some production centers. Glider flight has become an attraction to the world, becoming very popular especially in 1980.In the 1800s, gliders were built of bamboo and plastic and later evolved into aluminum. Today the building material of these devices is aluminum. Sport has become not only an attraction for lovers of heights but a cheaper method of relaxation. In addition, the view offered by a flight with the hang glider offers you exuberance of the float .
What is taught on the day of initiation?
Lessons are in small groups, no more than 6 people. It begins with the sale and installation of one or more hang gliders. At the same time the instructor explains the components of the aircraft and how they will fit on a flight to be safety. Then follows a theoretical brief explanation of how and why such a thing can fly. Each of the students will take the glider, in turn, handed the positions and show to the instructor to learn how it should be handle. They will go directly on the hill training. Students receive here, each harness with a hook that will be attached to the Hang Glider. A helmet on the head and you can start. At the beginning the lessons are made on a slowly inclined hill where the students must learn : the position in which they have to glide, equilibrium (balance) device, walking and acceleration. You’ll feel as soon when the device starts to fly, and as you run faster, even your weight will be carried by the Hang Glider. After a few starts you can try to go higher on the hill.
Course of the Hang Glider
On the hill you can learn how to start and to land without mistakes. Also starting on the hill and above, the distance to the ground and during flight increase so that you can taste a fully pleasure flight. As the entry to the basic theory you receive a manual that you can study at home, in silence. Also on the instruction hill and , depending on situations are developed theoretical discussion topics on weather (weather) and the generally fly (aerodynamics). Practicing the technique of taking offs and landing is very important. After a few lessons you can do some beautiful turns and you will know how to get out (which is very important otherwise you fly only in circles). After you have learned enough you are ready for your first flying in the mountains.

Generally about rafting

Since 30 years ago, rafting site in West Virginia has become the most attractive way to complete a superb holiday. The key to a series of activities taking place both on land and water remains an amazing experience whirling waves of the river, in an enviable mountain scenery. West Virginia offers the most passionate moments in an environment characterized by diversity. For many visitors represent only the beginning . Now several decades, rafting site was an unusual sport and not easy to practice. Some ingenious people have arranged accommodations for attracting enthusiasts and organized various events. Location sites were the source rocks of the rivers. Guests paid for the trip, taking his life jacket and spent a full day on the river waves. Today, athletes can choose first class facilities and various other options. The organizers of these events provide the necessary conditions for all those who want to live unforgettable moments and oars on the rivers of West Virginia. These options include tours with historical themes in the towns haunted by ghosts or hiking which will allow tourists to get acquainted with flora and fauna. Circuits specially built for mountain biking and climbing are activities that provide new opportunities for entertaining visitors.
Rafting involves primarily natural conditions conducive to progress: the mountain rivers, fast, with waterfalls, rapids and bumps of the riverbed.. Rafting is a team sport. Down the river in boats with teams from four, six to twelve people. The very experienced can navigate on their own or in teams of two. In any case, certainly, the fun of rafting route will depend on the coordination of the whole team. Also, rafting equipment must be made of neoprene suit, waterproof, the life jacket, if applicable, and mandatory helmet. Even if you do not go on a difficult trail, there is always the possibility that the boat get closer to rocks and tree branches from the shore. Experience in this sport has the advantage that it gets very easy for the instructors, therefore it is better to start first with a well known route.
What you should know about the risks of rafting route
Rafting
Any degree of difficulty the route would be , be permanently alert to situations that can lead to nasty accidents. An incident should be avoided to descent boat in transverse position, and another, more common, it is the collision obstacle under or above water. The first type of incident can be avoided by stirring the boat parallel on the water stream and always following the mainstream, even if it’s rough, because there is deeper water and are unlikely to boat hit rocks or tree trunks. For those who prefer the difficult routes, is good to know some techniques and wake vortex avoidance, particularly where is no possibility to evade on shore.
So if you are endowed with the spirit of adventure and water phobia will be foreign, then you can enjoy a real race of rafting.

Kayaking suppose strength

Kayaking is the sport’s a kayak is used on fast waters , usually, rivers, although it may be practice also on the  sea.kayakingDepending on the water where is practiced , is divided into  touring kayaking and whitewater kayaking ,on  waters with  foam. Touring kayaking is also river kayaking and sea kayaking.  The kayak (boat) used for whitewater kayaking (the fast water ) is different from that used in the ride of kayaking at sea. Traditional  kayaks  were made from  animal placed over  wood  frames. Then the kayaks  were made from fiberglass or Kevlar. Today, the most common materials used are plastics that are more flexible and also very durable. The kayaks  must have sufficient size as to be able to reach the paddles, from 1.8 m long, up to 3.6 m or more.
There are 4 subcategories of whitewater kayaking: river-running, creeking, slalom and play boating.
River Running – can be practiced both as a route  made on the river down to enjoy the beauty of the landscape, but also to experience adventure whirling waters. River’s running tours include a day or several days. Trips of several days  require appropriate equipment, but the kayak don’t have to be overloaded .
Creeking – is almost like river running, but it is more technical and more difficult, including passages with waterfall and  fast sliding. Usually, kayaks  for creeking have a larger volume and are rounded at the stern, which protects against collision with the rocks and offers more control and speed when the drops are larger .
Slalom’s another form of kayaking is more technical. Competitors must carve his own path as fast as the stretch of the  river chosen, but must also reach the fixed gates (a series of poles suspended vertically over the river). Usually, there are 20-25 gates in a competition, gates to be passed sequentially. The green gate pass in the descending direction (downstream), while the red ones, to the direction of descent or upstream. This type of competition is typical of class II river to IV, but placing markings and precision you need to move them, make the moves to be more difficult than would suggest the degree of difficulty of water. Slalom is the only form of whitewater kayaking accepted the Olympics.
Play boating or free  kayaking  is probably the most artistic kind of kayaking. While other varieties of kayaking generally involve going from a certain point and arriving to another play boaters  often sit in one place of the river (usually a stream or a wave) and focus on `fighting the forces `of the river, making a variety of maneuvers, including: surfing, spinning, vertical movements, spinning the boat on all possible rotation axes. More recently, became possible  aerial  movements, with jumps in the air, using speed and wave.

Scuba diving with dolphins

Scuba diving (the term is borrowed from scuba diving) have become increasingly popular among lovers of swimming. It is an easy sport , fun and interesting. Why is it so popular? More than 70% of the world’s surface is covered by water. The mystery and beauty of the underwater environment has fascinated people since prehistory. Monsters of mythology, descriptions of the books’ jokes or scenes from American movies are just a few demonstrations of the influence on the human imagination. Scuba diving made without oxygen tube, although dangerous, is practiced by those who collect pearls, sponges and water samples from different animal species. Underwater environmental exploration began three centuries ago with the advent of a date for the diving bell and large ensembles filled the air at the surface. Only a few recent discoveries and technological improvements have enabled people to discover the fascinating world of oceans and seas in perfect safety and comfort.
scuba-divingToday, scuba diving is accessible to everyone and does not require excessive investment. Usually, close to the sites developed for this sport, there are specialized stores which offers for sale or rent costumes or accessories. There are also numerous clubs where you can rent boats and where you can choose an instructor who will initiate you in this new experience.
Scuba diving means deep sea diving with special equipment. You can learn to dive at special schools with a qualified instructor and very important with a safe equipment. If you want relaxation, calm and a bit of adventure for your weekend at the sea, the most suitable option is a scuba diving session.
Experiment a weekend at the seaside and you will find fascinating the underwater world. Although very many people pass this activity to the category of extreme sports, scuba diving is a calculated sport, a sport that gives you a feeling of calm, retrieval, a gateway to meditation. If you make plans for a vacation at the seaside , a Discover Scuba Diving program should not miss in your vacation package. Being a scuba diving certificate you can enjoy the beauty within the world, both terrestrial and especially of the bay. The practice of recreational scuba diving initiation involves both a theoretical and practical, with training at the pool and sea or lake. Species that you can admire from a dive on the sea are : crab, turbot, mussels, mullets, horse sea , shark, , crab, medusas, large needle and if you lucky one days, you can meet with dolphins.
